The Indigenous Bunun people of Taiwan have a creation myth in which humans originated from fecal matter and animals from melon seeds. In Some Other Beginning's End, I collaborated with my dog Odin to scarify melon seeds, activating them in their passage through his digestive tract. These seeds, collected along with his poop, were germinated, grown, and set within a sculptural creation narrative in the gallery.
