Long pig demonstrates the corroding effects of hand sanitizer on sections of pork belly, a stand in for the human body. The title, Long pig, refers to the term formerly used in the Pacific Islands for human flesh as food. Inspecting the relationship between sterilization and the destruction of healthy flora, the reaction of meat to the sanitizer invokes images of post-apocalyptic landscapes and science fiction, dystopian worlds while emitting a sterile, alcohol odor.
